I remember when they first came out. Everybody wanted one. Are you getting a black/red, red/white, or red/white/blue one? The red/black one looked nasty.

the one I'm getting has been repainted a few times, so I dont even have any clue as to the original scheme. but I'm going with that black one with red stripes when I get all the bodywork for it. that scheme was my first bike EVER, and I loved the hell out of it.

Honestly, it is what it is, but still, for the year, its a GREAT bike.
dont have to wind it up as much for the power either

well, I got it today. needs a carb rebuild(no biggie) and some cleaning really, but its in good shape overall. big surprise, its got like 40K on the odometer, but looks mechanically real clean, aside from missing fairings and having a lot of broken plastic, BUT, the thing that made me REALLY happy, is an OHLINS reservoir for the rear shock, which looks extremely clean, and makes me think it has been set up for true performance at one point or other.

soon as I finish cleaning it up and making it ridable, I need a tire out back, and chain but again, minor things.

Hmmm... very interesting...http://powersports.honda.com/the_sto...113.asp&bhcp=1

Hey for the record a buddy of mine is selling his old VFR with under 20,000 miles for $1200. It's in REALLY good condition as he has kept it in his basement next to the pool table FOREVER! I started itg up last week and rode it around the block. The carbs need to be cleaned/rebuilt but once you get into the powerband it clears right up!

some pics of oldschool gooodness. my spare tank was repainted evidently from the original red/black Hurricane scheme, with the original colors underneath it I think.
