Nurse question...

So, yesterday I had a nurse that we are pretty sure was a cross-gender in some way. Was certainly a man at one time, might not be now "technically" but... spoke of a girlfriend.

Just struck me as odd that this person was in charge of female patients... thoughts?

That';s a bit weird. It might weird me out, but if he/she/it is educated and doing "its" job.....meh.....whatever.

Generally speaking in the medical field gender is a non-issue. I've had female docs and male docs examine my junk... most women I know of prefer a male gyno for some reason. ONSSP was doing an externship a couple months back at a urology clinic and handled more penis than I care to imagine.

I know, same here... in fact, I didn't notice anything until the old man with his wife next to me said something. My sister and I were playing the guessing game.

Just struck me as "odd."

i like female doctors personally. Especially in the cough and prostate exams.

yeah....I'd be curious.

and I don't care if its a dude. My OBGYN is a dude. I can;t stand women GYN's...bad experience i guess.

When I had the ultrasound on my balls it was done by a female.
