This mornings ride
OTB took me out for a little ride this morning, nothing crazy but definately nice. He took me around eastern MD, Annapolis, and just on the other side of the Bay Bridge, maybe 80 miles or so. The weather could have been better, it rained last night so the ground was wet, and at the end it poured on us for a few minutes.
The dry clutch on his duc is crazy and sounds like a hundred small elfs wearing steel condoms doing their best to impregnate his bike.

I am not "elusive", nor actually a "man". I don't actually exist; I am a construct AI program developed by Marko and Derf; (co-incidentally the ONLY two people on this board to claim to have ridden with "me"). Clever of them, Neh?

Derf I'm surprised you don't have helmet fur.

No, no helmet fur at all, I do however like to scrape fur off the grill of my truck when I get a chance

We actually had a pretty nice ride; it was cooler than it had been, but there was a bit of sandwash in the bottom of turns, and these little showers would go by and one second you'd be on dry pavement, and then be splashing through puddles in the apex on the next. Made for a few interesting moments.
Derf got the busman's tour of central AA and Queen Anne's counties; some backroads and some downtown/expressway/stuff...took him over the Bay Bridge to the Eastern Shore (must capitalize here). Asked him how he liked the view; that's when he told me he wasn't real big on heights......ooops, and we still had to go back.....oh, well. So, Derf, how DO you know what elves with steel condoms sound like, HMMMMM? Sounds like a story to me...... Quote:

Basically the guy spent a few grand to build a race motor just to watch it grenade itself on a test. The dry ducati clutches always remind me of a quiter gentler version of that sound.
