when i went we wore buck knives on our belts, had rifles in our cars and could chew tobacco in auto shop. smoking was only allowed in the parking lot. things are so incredibly different now days. yes it was a country school where we did all those things.

my son did the mohawk for awhile, until his coach said lose it or off the wrestling team.

I really feel bad for the kids you're describing.

When i was in school i could plaster my wall end to end with pink slips (detentions), but they were (usually) for harmless stuff like drawing on the walls or sleeping in class or blowing up condoms in the courtyard. i remember my saturdays in highschool were often spent in the cafeteria of my highschool until around 11:30.
