Fellas,

Tell me a little about the People's Republic's gun laws. Say you knew of a couple of out-of-state buds who may or may not be but probably are planning on coming into the Garden State on or around the first week of May. Lets also, hypothetically, say that these two gentlemen, or women, like to carry firearms on or about their person. These folks know that the People's Republic has some shizzzzzzzy gun laws.

My...er...some guys question is...can firearms be brought there from another state, say possibly the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, if they are secured, locked, and unloaded.

For the record...I think I might already know the answer to this question.

You can carry the unloaded gun in a locked case in the non-passenger compartment (trunk) of your car*, if your car is not equipped with a non-passenger compartment then you can keep it in the passenger compartment, like if you have a pickup. but it has to be hidden, like under or behind a seat. Ammo must be stored seperately.

I'm pretty sure that you must have any papers with the gun too.

Or you can just throw it loaded into your glove box and not get pulled over.

*varies by township and by local ordinances and laws

Yeh no shit!

The worst part is that local towns can have different laws and ordinances from everywhere else in the entire fucking world. Just as an example, the town I live in requires me to carry a maximum of two six shooters, three if I have a horse.

I'm not willing to keep my loaded weapon on me, that's for sure. Illegal gun charges are no joke. As for the not getting pulled over deal, the out of state plates aren't always a sign of good faith.

Not on your person you cant, but you can on your bike, if you throw it in the trunk.

So if one was to do all tt unloading, locking it with a gun lock and in a trunk or saddlebag. All of tt. Then one could visit and such without law problems?
