Default Dating Situation?

You hang out with someone and are very casually dating. You have not slept with them. You are not exclusive but hope to be one day.

"Something" happens with someone else.

Are you obligated to tell the other person?

Would YOU tell this other person?

Since you are not exclusive with the person you are not obligated to tell them. If you hope to be exclusive with them someday, you need to be honest with them and tell them you want to be.

same here. You have no reason to... by telling them, you're basically acknowledging that there is more than "friendship" there...

I think that Honesty is the absolute BEST policy. Lies and secrets hurt too much when they're found out after the fact.

I believe I know who you're talking about on the casual dating and if that's who it is, then it's been long enough for that to have developed into something more. I think you're spinning your wheels a little there.

And if you're really into bachelor # 1 and really want something more with him and have any kind of feelings for him, the 'something' that happened with Bachelor # 2 wouldn't have happened. I think you need to figure out how you feel about # 1 before you make a move in either direction.

But that's just my $.02

No exclusivity equals no need to know.

alright, lets pretend you're not engaged to Tiffany and all of that and you've been dating a girl for a couple of weeks, but there's nothing exclusive. After the date, one thing leads to another and you sleep together. Condoms used, yada, yada, yada.

How would you feel if the next day, she up and tells you she had sex with some other guy right before your date with her the night before? And then another guy the day before?
