Meet a new pal of mine.
This was completely unexpected by my entire family, but meet Casper. He's a male lab, rottweiler and husky mix. He's 3 going on 4 months old. Quick background info - sister's friend has puppies they don't want. They offered us a puppy for free and we took him. He was a bit neglected (fed well, but left outside without much interaction.. had a couple ticks, possibly fleas), but he's now spoiled. None of us really expected to have a new member of the family so soon after our loss, but he's here to stay.
If anyone is in the area and wants a puppy there are still a few females looking for good homes. They don't have his eyes, but they're still cute. Pic from after his shower.  With his "toy" slipper we gave him since we had nothing on hand at the time.
