I never NEVER load a motocycle in the back of a bed without the truck backed up in a low spot or at a loading dock. It's just too stupid to go that high.

Oh yes.
My bike currently resides in a building behind my house and the door is so narrow I have to bring my mirrors in. There was no ramp so I bought those metal ramps you use (2 of them) to load your bike/lawnmower, etc into a truck. Never having driven up a ramp (especially so narrow) before and not realizing the part where my feet can't touch (so you can fall over) I panicked and went into my shed too fast and hit the wall on the other side. I wasn't going fast enough to hurt anything other than breaking a mirror but boy did it piss me off!!! A VFRD friend built me a nice, wide, wooden ramp later so it's all good now. Now all I have to negoiate is my dirt driveway and the dirt road my cabin is on. That hasn't bothered me but boy did that ramp! |

I rode my DRZ into the back of a Uhaul... too hard to walk it up... the only trouble came when I got IN the truck... damn things are slick as hell!

I have a trifold atv ramp though, so it's a lot wider.

Shit, I loaded my bikes onto ramps a lot higher than that truck.
He was fine until he hit the clutch and lost traction.
