Living in the Bulls Eye?

The weather guys here in Wichita have all been spazzing out since yesterday about the potential for violent weather in the area today. Joplin is 3 hours east of here and the memory of Greensburg, KS being wiped from the map a couple of years ago is still strong as it's generated a near hysterical environment.

Good grief....the worst very well COULD happen...but I don't see what getting all hysterical about it NOW....before a single drop of rain has even fallen...is gonna accomplish.

Shit's about to get real....

Tornadoes and shiz are about 15 miles west of me and coming this way. We closed the office early so everyone could get home.

OHP closed I-40 about 30 minutes ago.

I've got the news on, the storm cellar open, and ready to go on 5 seconds notice if I gotta.

Just endured a 3 minute barrage of baseball sized hail. I HATE this fucking State....Uh....taxi?! Boston, MA please.

Had 2 friends die Sunday in the tornado in Joplin, 8 lost their homes. Having lived in that area for 15 years, it breaks my heart to see the pictures. May be going down to help them pick through the rubble this weekend.
