Does this make me a bad person?
I went to the store to buy a set of wrist length gloves since my last ones are falling apart. I found a decent set of leather palmed olympia gloves that are kevlar on the back of the fingers and knuckles. BUT:
The clip which the price tag was attached to them said they were $19.00, I also saw a whole row of exact same glove in a different size was $49.99. So I took the glove that was $19 to the counter along with a $49 glove and asked if that was the right price. No shit it was the wrong price. The counter guy said that the gloves were different (which they obviously were the same), that one was windproof and one had a gel padded palm. So I took him at his word and paid the $19 for the $49 glove and walked out of the store. Now I kinda feel bad about taking the glove from them for less than half price it was supposed to be. Not really but yeh kinda sorta.

Yeah, what Trip said.
It's not like you intentionally swapped the tags or anything.

even if it was the same glove, but marked wrong. by law they have to sell it as marked
heck if its even on the wrong rack, the legally have to sell it to you at the lower price, now how hard you want to fight it is up to you

He was working on his psychology thesis and you were the unknowing participant. He was observing how shoppers would react in a situation where they understand that there is something wrong and are potentially able to gain more than expected through the situation. You gave him statistical data that he could use to formulate his conclusion, and for that, you should feel good.
Also, he came in those gloves.
