Question Rubatone, wtf?

I am talking about the rubberized paint that's everywhere these days, its on a lot of electronics like portable HD's and such....But now it's on helmets as well. Does this shit hold up to abuse? And to the sun?

My old Icon bitch helmet is rubatone... the finish is tough enough but it gets dirty and is impossible to clean...
