Well we got the bad news tonight. He has bone cancer. Treatment would be to amputate the leg but that alone he only has 3-6months. The anputation would be just to relieve that tumor growth and pain with it. If you couple that with chemo then it gets him another 3-5 months but all under a year. We don't think its good for him to go thru all that. Missing a leg, and chemo every 3 weeks is no way for a dog to live. So poor Wayne will be put down later this week. He's still in pain even though he's on 3 different pills it still bothers him and its not good to make him suffer.

I hadn't check in on this thread in weeks.

I am so sorry to hear about The Duke.

FWIW, I think you are doing right by him.

You are in my thoughts, I know this will be an extra tough time for you over the next few weeks.

Damn, sorry to hear that, Gas.

At least he had a good life with you guys for a while, and he won't be suffering for long.

Oh no.

I'm so sorry. That breaks my heart... I can't imagine what y'all are going through. You're in my thoughts.
