It's true. I've never seen 1 minute of the Jersey shore but I know who she was. I'm not sure that I'd recognize her in a crowd though.

If you are under 25, why would you know who Carl Sagan is? He was an icon in the 70's and maybe 80's.

Today, he may get a mention in your science text book but I wouldn't expect today's kids to know who he is unless they are really big into astronomy.
