I opened up task manager, clicked on performance tab, then clicked resource monitor button. Once that was up, I clicked on network tab and just watched AVAST just keep sending and receiving like if I was downloading something. Um.......uninstalled.

OK, performance has been back to normal for me.

What happened? Not that I'm complaining, but something clearly happened.

Don't know, I asked the server people to investigate any potential malicious activity, maybe they found something.
