Well, I'm not really all that committed to it.
I've been playing since a couple of months after the game was released and in all the time I only have 4 characters that have reached or passed level 60, and one of them I just rolled starting at level 55 (the death knight)

I have yet to get one to level 70, and now the max has been upped to 80.
Don't even get me started on how little of the high level content I've done.
As you say, it does require a lot of time commitment and more attention span than I have. I usually grind for a while, make a bunch of levels, then get burned out when the leveling pace slows down.

hrm... excuse me... my geek seems to be showing.
