That's probably the best description of a Norton I've ever heard, (I had a '74).

You still have the right side shift, or has it been "Americanized"?

$408/yr with State Farm, full coverage, no other vehicles. It was significantly more when there was a Busa on the policy, I think that alone cost me at least $130 a month...
