A great race series that is running in the US is 24 hours of lemons, basically get a crappy car, add brakes tires and a roll cage, and if you make it to the end you have a shot at winning. As their slogan says, "its not just for rich idiots, its for all idiots"

this.

I'd be interested in a race series like this.
It would involve a moderately sized track with peak speeds under 150mph and a lot of twisties (mix of sections from low speed to high speed)

Vehicles must be off the showroom floor...some might say "fully stock".
No restrictions on tires other than that they are street legal and fit on the oem rims.
No roll cages... only allowed for older cars that would not meet current safety regulations. If cars are sold to comply with federal safety regulation then they should be raced as is.

The only allowable changes are seats, steering wheel and glass.

3 classes broken into price classes.

0-25K MSRP
25K-50K MSRP
50K-75K MSRP

I'd watch that.

That would ROCK I especially like the "no roll cages"

A REAL test of mfg safety

Add an 'unlimited OEM' class, and I'd be into it... maybe the restriction in that class would be minimum number of units produced - 10k or something.

I'd watch that shit too... the only thing is, in some of those classes you'd just see the same 2-3 cars... I'd want more of a variety.
