1. You fail for not choosing a lane and sticking with it.

2. She was definitely an impatient cunt.

Here's my somewhat related pet peeve... people who, when they have ample notification of construction and lane closures ahead, insist on staying in the lane that is ending and riding it out as far as they can just to skip the traffic already forming lines in the lanes that are still open. Then, when they get to the pinch point, they sit there with their blinker on (or just try to shove in) like the traffic in the other lanes who were waiting their turn just owe them a spot in line.
Fuck them.

What is wrong with people? They are all in it for themselves. I had proof of it the other day when I saw a woman and her mother hit a truck in the store parking lot. I was walking in, past her car, as she damaged his truck. I walked in the door, all the while with my eyes on her... she appeared to be getting in her car to write information. But, the moment I went inside and out of her view, she started her car.

I told an employee inside to get the manager for me, and that I was going to go stall her. I walked up and tapped on her window, scared the poo out of her. I remained calm the entire time, she went batshit crazy. Yelled at me to "mind my own business," that she had been hit by someone else that didn't stop - so why should SHE bother. WHAT??!?!!

She got back into her car, I just stood behind her car taking pictures. The manager came out, with the owner of the truck. ALL went well in the end. Well, after that white trash bitch got hers...
win all around.

i generally respect the way things are set up if ppl are doing it before i showed up. if i arrive at any line and ppl are in one lane waiting to split, i stay in the main lane. if ppl are in 3 different lines, i pick one and be done with it. either way, it's called common courtesy. but then again, common courtesy (along with common sense) are commonly severely lacking.

If the contruction workers wanted one feeder lane instead of two, it would have been designed that way. You fail for not cutting ahead, which is legal, and then trying to squeeze in. See, it's same shit, different pile after all...

A couple summers back a huge stretch of I90 was under construction (one lane closed, etc etc). What you describe actually backed traffic up for HOURS (around here that just doesn't happen). It got so bad that they put signs up saying "x lane closed 1 mile ahead, merge NOW" and cops started giving warnings for impeding the flow of traffic to the asshats you describe. Funny enough, once word got out about the warnings, traffic started flowing very well...

I wish they did that more often around here.
Trying to shortcut things, whether "legal" or not, creates more hassle for everyone in a situation like that.
I'm really impatient when I'm in traffic, but I can still think beyond my own little fishbowl enough to realize this... they damn well should too.

Just think if you weren't in you car. Would you stand between two cashier lines at walmart and tell people behind you "Its ok, I'm in both"

How about if you were at a movie theatre and the people in front of you already have a "feeder" line set up. Do you make your own line at one of the two available cashiers because you're a selfish tool? Or do you get in the existing line like everybody else?

Movie theater concesson lines around here are spaced 10-15ft apart. If you are trying to do a feeder line on that shit, yes I would go directly to one line while I sent another person to the other line to fuck ya'll shit up.

If you are talking ticket lines, they have a roped feeder system in place here, so it is set in stone as a feeder system.

Feeder systems are great if they are setup like that, if they aren't, it's not a feeder system, so deal with it.
