Humans have abandoned all other adaptations in favor of intellect. That is how we survive and dominate.

While that is somewhat true it has also lead to other Darwinian issues. The intellect of our species has reached a point where, unlike any other species in the "wild" I can think of, we don't have to devote most of our time working out ways to survive. This has given us the ability to, among other things, actively work to subvert Darwinian nature.

Those born with physical and mental handicaps and genetic defects who otherwise would have been taken out by nature early in their lives can now live for a long time. They can also breed which, according to Darwin, will eventually lead to a weakened gene pool and less ability to "survive and dominate". I'm not particularly worried about it but it should concern absolute adherents to Darwin.

Likewise, morons that lack the fear of heights necessary to keep from doing a pike into the turf below their balconies, DON'T.
