Seeing as I hate spending money on anything, why dont you give it a little while before to see how you adjust before forking the cash out on a seat if you dont absolutely need it. You may find after some more miles that your butt has adjusted and you dont mind the height.

You could shave down the stock seat and put in some gel padding to bring the seat height back to stock height then recover with either the stock cover or a custom cover.

Stopped at a local bike shop today. They had 2 pair of padded bike shorts hanging on a rack, both same brand, at least one that would fit me. They were $50, but it was foam padding, not gel. Guy asked if he could help. Asked if they had gel.
"Nope, those are better." "Ok, what makes them better?" Several seconds of silence, then, "Gel don't work so good and it's heavy." "Ok, I'm getting these for extra padding for riding my motorcycle. A buddy told me that gel filled bike shorts made his rides much better and I should try it." Silence. "I'll think about it and do some research." Silence. I walked out. Have field calls up in Indy tomorrow, will stop by someplace where I can actually get some customer service. |

Why don't you add a little meat to that arse instead of buying gel shorts and seats?
