In the state of florida its a felony to have an uninsured vehicle...but typically they will just get their own policy and tack the price onto the loan...
this is very odd...are you certain the finance company was getting your payments? |

A payment was due the 15th and I was going to make it tomorrow. So, with that said, payment issues aside, my account rep at the finance company said that they do a random Registration and DL checks once a year in December figuring that most if not all Registrations & DL's should be renewed by then and that's what came up on mine.
There is a clause in my agreement and according to that, they have the right to remove the vehicle from the road to protect their investment. And that is apparently what they did. According to my account rep, they would not put a forced policy on the vehicle because my DL is suspended so putting a forced policy on the vehicle would not keep me from driving it, especially if I didn't know my DL was suspended. Granted it would cover the cost of the vehicle if I crashed it but whatever, it's just the way she explained it to me yesterday. I've already contacted my lawyer and he's going to start working on it this afternoon when he gets back to his office from court. It's just too much for me to handle right now, I'm on overload and can't get anywhere with any of it sitting behind my desk with no way to get anywhere. I'll let everyone know what happens. |

Any new information? Ever get your truck back or the issue with the tickets resolved? I'm quite curious.
