Wow, weird turn... well, if this were true, you would wear it out around here. Between the heat and their normal whore tendencies...well, thinks have gotten crazy around here lately.

I do in no way believe in the you shoulda woulda tatics. It's passing blame for others actions. You put blame on the clown that committed the act.

What they are saying is, why make it easier or more tempting for a potential thief? Stealing is stealing... I'm pretty sure you can be prosecuted for auto theft even if the keys were in it... but if the owner leaves the keys in it he has facilitated that theft. Think of it as another area where the insurance companies have lobbied for legislation that helps control their losses.

One thing I hate about living in the city is I have to always lock up. When I lived in a house in the country I never locked up and when my bike was in the garage the keys stayed in. Just seemed that if any thefts happend in the country they happened outside the house. Mainly because if you got caught in someone's house you were as good as dead. Infact that reminds me of a new country song out where I like a quote from it. Even though I don't believe in God I want to put this on my apartment door. Though it'd probably scare all of my whiney ass peace sticker rocking hipster neighbors. "Our house is protected by the good Lord and a gun. You might meet them both if you come here not welcome son"

People did that all the time in Upstate NY...I miss that. You have to ALWAYS lock your stuff up in Nashville.

depends on what part of nashville you are talking about, the south side (M'boro) in places isn't as bad, but the other areas that i have been to are nasty, the country is great

On the Mazda's that have the "credit card" key that you just keep in your pocket to unlock and start you could still install an AstroStart. Only prob was the button on the outside door handle would not unlock the vehicle when the vehicle was running with the remote starter. As for the manual portion, that's no big deal either, just have to program it for a manual and she will have to "arm" the starter every time she parks the vehicle and wants to use the remote start. If you have questions, send me an email or PM, I can explain how AstroStart does it. Not sure of other brands as I never worked with them. |
