As a writer I would think that posting OTHER people's opinion would be better than having your opinion out in the air. It's no fun knowing that everyone knows that you're retarded.

Sure she is....for 3 to 6 months! Then you crush her and toss her away like an empty Mt Dew can.

So, I walk up to her and ask her what she rides.

She recoils like I slapped her face. HE steps up. He says, "No woman of mine will ride a motorcycle!!" My first thought was DON'T CHANGE YOUR FACE - but I think the horror had already taken over. Then, he looks at me - looks at the bike, and then back at me, only to say "Wait, they LET you ride?"

My reply "Yup, they let me VOTE too." And, I walked away.

My boss was behind me drinking a Coke - it almost went through his nose The rest of the weekend, he would walk past me telling me to get back into the kitchen.

I find the very concept ridiculous.
I remember going to a track day back in 2003 and bringing Angela along, with her little Honda RS125 GP bike. As we were setting up our pits a couple came by and the woman commented about Ang's bike, "Oh, how cute! That would be perfect for my 10 year old son." A couple of my friends came by, took one look at the bike that was sitting next to mine and wearing black numbers then said, "No.... you didn't. I think we're staying off the track for a while."

My time between sessions was spent laughing my ass off, while she just plain humiliated a series of guys who thought that they were fast, then went to work on their "fast guy"; an amateur 600 racer on his prepped bike. She beat his bets lap time by more than a full second and had the entire paddock up on the wall watching while she chased him down.

I love seeing people's preconceptions get all shot to hell

I stood there with my jacket on, holding my helmet and gloves, waiting for him to ask me what I rode.

He didn't so I said, "You didn't ask what bike I ride". Kid stood there with the deer-in-the-headlights look. The father turned around and waited to hear how the conversation went.

I told him what bike I rode and the kid knew what a Kawi was, but not what my bike was. I told him, since he seemed interested. The father looked a tad apologetic.

I wanted to nip the sexist-pig-in-the-making. I think I did.

The funny bit was maybe 3 or 4 of the track day heroes knew that black numbers had a meaning
