I'm amazed that nobody has mentioned that it's downright impossible to ignore RangerScott when he's rocking an avatar like that.

curiosity does not equal caring. I had just seen this quite a few times and was interested in the general opinion.

I use it, and it works great. When I see a gap in the thread, it is no big deal because I know they have nothing useful to contribute.

Same here, I don't figure that I'm missing all that much.... Seriously, who here would you consider your life somehow less fulfilled without their opinion?

I don't use the ignore feature....I read it all...the good, the bad...and often the just plain ridiculous.

I have one person on ignore.

Like others have said it can be annoying to see the posts with no content, or not know what people are talking about in threads.

I *try* and self ignore but it doesn't always work.

It's hard, because people read way to much into what you post sometimes, or you read way too much into what they post.

Going forward, I'm just not going to comment on what some say, or post anywhere near them. Not specific people, but should someone annoy me.
