So sad. I dont blame the dog. While I do think certain breeds are more inclined to the "snap and attack", and yes a pit is genetically inclined, it's the owners responsiblity to raise that animal so that it isn't a danger, and if it is, to take the necessary precautions. It's disgusting. What fraggin moron would even allow dogs he's trained to fight to be within eyesight of his children?!?
Down here we have alot of the "gangstas" tramping around with their pits on chains with spiked collars, looking all tough and bad ass. They dont know crap about the breed or dog handling or training, but they look cool and I guess thats all that matters right? Sadly, the dogs have no training, are typically fairly friendly, but if it got loose, chances are it's getting shot or picked up and euthanized. I'll tell ya what, animal lover that I am, if a pit came running through my yard and looked twice at my dogs, he wouldnt stand a chance. Yeah Im stereotyping, but with all the idiot owners, you never know what the disposition is gonna be. |
