I sold my P226 recently to a friend in need of handgun and bought a P229R. The fucking thing is awesome, as was the 226. It's small and concealable, simple to break down, accurate beyond my expectations, and easy to fire. It has very little felt recoil or muzzle flip. Mine is a 40, not a round I generally enjoy but it's perfect for the platform and I get a decent compromise between ballistics and capacity. Mine came with night sights and two 12 rnd magazines, and I love the thing. I'll be carrying it tonight to deliver, and most likely to the rally.

I have to tell you guys that we love our Walthers My wife and I both have
P22's with a little over 15 thousand rounds through them with no difficulties beyond the ususa maintance. I should say that the majority of the time these pistol are used with a Gemtech Outback Silencer on them using subsonic ammo (usually Federal when I have to Remington) and apart fromthe need to clean more often because a Slinecer pushes gas and Dirt back into the gun they have been every bit as reliable as my ruger and far more relaible thant the Sig Misquito they replaced. That said there apparently have been some problems but the people I know with them love them.
We liked them enough that my wifes carry gun is a P99 and I had the barrel on a G22 threaded and it serves as my "quieter" rifle. Based on my admittedly limited experience in a apples to apples comparison I will buy a walther before a Sig any day

If you ever get the chance to acquire one of these, do so. You won't regret it...

Then again, if you want a near perfect 'pocket gun', try one of these...

Motards are a love/hate relationship. Right now mine's being a PITA so it's more of a hate thing at the moment!

Names might help others. Those are the H&K Model 4 in a .32 and the bottom is a Kel-Tec P-32. I prefer 9mm, but those are nice guns.
