Get in control of your own mental habits. Resist the urge on your own and you will be stronger for it.

If it helps your quit then great but I am a firm believer in cold turkey style.
Ditto. I'm not being critical of anyone who uses something like this to improve their life, but its indicative of the American mindset. Instead of using willpower and good judgement, we Americans (myself included) want a silver bullet that will make us thinner / quit smoking / quit drinking / richer / more attractive / more fit / have better cholesterol / have a bigger wiener, etc. To hell with working at something and achieving it, I want it now, and I want it easy!

Exactly my point.

I have tried to quit before, I know its not good for me but each time I have stopped in the past, I picked it right back up within a few months. i am definately not above asking for help, even if that help is in the form of a pill. Quit smoking isnt the easiest thing to do. i'm 29 and have been smoking for almost 20 years, yeh, the math is right, it's literally all I know, and has been part of my life for most of my life. Add the chemical dependancy that comes along with that and it is a recipie for not being able to quit.

If it makes it easier gimme the drugs.

I went cold turkey. From three packs a day to zilch. And that was when they cost 35 cents/pack.

Luckily, my military training taught me how to enjoy being miserable, how to tough things out, and how to fight. Cause it was a miserable and tough fight. It took me six years before I stopped craving a cigarette. Over thirty-seven years now without a ciggy. One of the best things I ever did. Good luck.
