Leaning this way myself, and was thinking about getting a Thruxton, but now I'm thinking of not having a bike payment for a while.

Not interested in riding street at all anymore. Didnt even insure the Harley this year. Its paid next may, and im considering selling it for 14k (may have a buyer), buying a dirtbike, and using the rest as a part of a downpayment on a house.
I dunno what it is, but riding street currently bores me to tears. And its not just our shitty roads, no matter where I go, I just find im not that interested. I should be enjoying my ride, instead, im wishing winter would get here sooner so I can ride the sled.

After my Duc took a shit, I took time off from riding. At the time I couldn't afford anything new, and the desire to get on another bike was close to gone. Recently I picked up a Buell Blast just to get around the cost of gas for my typical commute. Maybe it's just the break, but I don't think I've had more fun riding than I have on this little bitch. It's not going to win races, it's not even close to a sexy bike, and every now and then a little more power would be nice, but even tooling around back and forth to school is a shitload of fun. The damn thing is retardedly easy to ride and throw around. If anything, it's kind of relit the fires for riding.

I haven't really ridden at all this year since school started. Not sure how I will feel once I graduate in August but I really have no desire to ride the streets here in Vegas. Even in my car, I feel like I am going to get killed by some drunkard. But both bikes are paid for...
If anything I will probably sell the dualie and get smaller dirtbike. |

I haven't ridden in at least two months. Been busy as hell and it's obviously been hotter than hell. I had to ride the baby ninja everyday for two years no matter the weather. I am a fair weather rider now and I don't give a shit.

Could be the weather. Could be the bike. Could be the same old roads. Or it could be the (gasp) rider. In the last four years I've taken three riding classes. Two were taught by Lee Parks. The classes drastically increased my riding ability, changed my outlook on riding, and brought back the excitement of when I first got on a bike.

The Concourse was lovely from the back seat, I will say. Suspension was wonderful and it still had lots of power two up. Have a friend in Texas who loves his to death, travels 1000's of miles on it each summer with no problems.
And yes, it has been hotter than hell this summer in flatlandia Kansas, I haven't gone anywhere. Will wait till fall to hit the Ozark twisties, then freaking winter will be here.

Not at all. I enjoy riding too much. I agree though, I will keep the RR, but I am definitely looking for a sport/touring bike like the FJR, Concours or BMW, maybe even a nice clean Blackbird |
