Speaking of organ donors, when my mom died, some organ donor place called me within less than a half hour wanting to know if they could have some of her parts. That pissed me off to no end. My mom wasn't an organ donor, yet they called as soon as her time was called begging. WTF? I was very short with the girl who called (I knew she was doing her job no matter how much I think her job SUCKS!) and hung up as soon as I said "no". I looked up the oganization online & waited a few days to call back, raising hell. I thought it very tacky. I was still crying when they called offering condolences, and oh...by the way, can we have her body? FUCK YOU! I was an organ donor until then. If they're just going to beg for parts regardless, what's the fucking use?

And for the record, no, they can't have any parts of me. F-ing assholes.

Around here they try a lot being theres so much trauma to young otherwise health people. part of the problem is many of th epeople and families arent that educated so even when its explained they dont know whats what. Also there are tons of jehovas witness around here and they aint giving up anything.

I worked in a funeral home for a little under a year doing all the odd jobs, like digging graves, body transport and pick up, and all those fun jobs that you can do when you're not a licensed funeral director (but I was certified to run the cremator, yaaaaay!). When I picked up organ donors from the Medical Examiners office, they'd be a fucking mess, carved head to toe to get all the good stuff, and then the remains (brain, useless organs, whatever) would be bagged up and stuck in the stomach cavity before being sewed up for us to take to the funeral home. Personally, I couldn't give a shit. If I'm dead, take whatever you need, it's not gonna bother me none. And by the way, medical examiners are cool motherfuckers.
