My thoughts exactly. I bugged him yesterday though....I don't want to seem like a pest.

Sent ya a text. the abx would start working alittle quicker. If its what I think it is regular Pcn may not be stron enough, and if its an abcess it has to be drained.

Got it. Thanks, Tom. As I stated, she's finally asleep. She's been up all night. I'm going to let her sleep a while and see how she feels when she wakes up. If there's no improvement, I'm taking her back. I've already told my manager about it, so she's prepared if I need to take off.

I had one at her age and they had to put a "wick" in my jaw by the tooth to drain it. Sounds horrible, but it was far better than the pain of the infected tooth. The worst part of the whole procedure was the shot, and I was grateful for the numbing after 2 days in agony...It didn't bother me except for the fact that it was something sticking out of my gums that wasn't supposed to be there. I'd definitely give the dentist a call...is she drinking lots of water? Fluids might help her system flush that crap out, I would think...
Besides, you're supposed to drink plenty when you're on antibiotics anyway. |

Let's hope it doesn't...for her sake and mine. I'm hoping the dosage given isn't strong enough for her system or maybe it's taking a while to show improvement because it's so bad. I'd rather hope for better instead of having to hold her down for a "not fun" procedure. I've been there, done that before when she got burned by boiling water. Trust me, it wasn't fun holding a 10 year old down for them to scrub burned skin.
