So my neighbor thought it would be funny to e-mail my wife this:

97 lb Eastern Diamondback found in Bulloch County , GA

THEY GROW 'EM BIG IN GEORGIA

97 lb rattlesnake found in just north of Savannah

9 feet, 1 inch - 97 lbs. - Biggest rattler found since Ross Allen captured one in 1969
that measured 9 feet, 1 inch but only weighed 78 lbs.

Thats pretty cool, sadly, that snake weighs almost as much as a couple grown females I know...the guys expression is priceless tho...I wonder if he realizes that booger can still reach him?

I think that weight is a bit exaggerated. its def a huge diamondback (they are the largest snake in north america) but thats def not 100 pounds. if it was that guy wouldnt be holding it like that with a snake grabbler. I have dealt with pythons much longer than that that were barely over 100 pounds.
