They need to make a low budget pickup.
Bring back the Chevy Luv and make it a ZR1.

Have they taken any of that money and put it into making the interior not complete and total plastic shit, or are they still pulling from the old Cavalier parts bins?

Sad. My friend has a Z06. Awesome car, ripping fun to drive. The interior is a fucking embarrassment. It would be a joke in an Aveo. Quite a few cheap plastic pieces like the button to open the door, and a few of the interior panels have needed replacement multiple times. Whoever designed that for their flagship car should be fired, flogged, and shot.

Back in the day, less interior function was fine. The drivetrain was what counted. I don't stare at my interior when I'm hauling ass. I agree for the price paid it should be better but I wouldn't buy something like this for interior looks. |

If it were just looks, it'd be slightly tolerable. The quality of the interior parts and the fit and finish is flat out abysmal and embarrassing. It shouldn't be tolerated in a $15K Cobalt, let alone a $120K ZR1. Horsepower is fantastic, but it means a whole lot less when the low grade plastic is repeatedly cracking and falling apart. That's just piss poor design that is unacceptable at any price point. A Chevy Lumina should not have a higher quality interior than any model of Corvette. No exceptions or excuses should be made, especially at that price level.
