That's why I drive a 1992 F-150. I'd have gone demolition derby on her shit and then drove away smiling.

This is why we can't have nice things
I think Kaneman avoids LE because he permanently smells of weed. |

That's right, he is in Texas.
They shoot people for backdoor. Hell I think they shoot people for knob polishing unless knob polisher has big fake cans. Natural rackers get whipped i think. Damn...Texas is pretty fucked up if you ask me. |

My Car was roughly a month old this summer when some bitch backed into it in a parking lot. The scratch was invisible. You had to touch it to know it was there. When I got out of the car she flipped out saying she didnt even hit me and it seemed like she was either drunk or on something. She finally calmed down a little and asked me to go talk to her BF since it was his car. I started to explain what happened to him and before I could finish, he lost it too saying the car was beat to hell anyway (Less than a month old) etc, etc, etc. Up to that point, an apology and owning up to their mistake would have probably sent me on my way. Instead, they were complete assholes so I just smiled and said "Well I guess you can just buy me a new bumper instead then."
I got insurance involved, they were assholes to the adjusted too, I got a nice shiny new bumper and they got a nice big rate increase. Fuck em. Oh ya, I did have to call the police at the scene pretty much as a scare tactic. The crazy bitch wouldn't even show me her driver's license or insurance info so I called the police and handed her my phone so they could explain how much of an idiot she was.

Do people in this thread know how to read? Triple said he doesn't care about the damage. And Kane has described his bad experiences with cops. I'm not one to doubt what was described.
And cops are no better than the humans you guys always say suck when you say "people suck". So why would you expect them to be any better? They certainly aren't paid enough to do so. Small-town cops are the worst, their entrance requirements are a joke, as well as their salaries....... so they attract shit, and get shit. Last edited by Homeslice; 12-03-2010 at 10:59 PM.. |

I'm not condoning anything in this situation. By not calling the cops I'm protecting myself and my family if applicable.

Good grief, way too much distrust of police in here. Here's my thoughts: If you're going to let it go, then just let it go. If you wanted to make a point, it's long past the point of being able to do so. If your dog pees on the carpet, do you punish him right away, or wait a couple days? If you aren't going to hang around and call the woman on it right away, then just let it go. If the damage is bad enough to have her insurance company fix it, then you would likely need a police report, but you should have called to get one right away, rather than waiting. If it was small, inexpensive damage, then you needed to confront her immediately and have her pay up.
