Go with Pirelli Diablo Stradas if you have to have an "extended mileage tire". You should be able to find a good deal on them since they're being replaced by the Angel. Quote:

the pilot roads are known to be less then ideal sport tires, but extremely high milage
the road 2's are getting awesome reviews from the local riders in the area |

There was a guy rode his SV to the track, luggage and all, pulled the hard bags taped it up and tracked it with Roads on. Afterward he pulled tape and reattached the bags and rode home. He had a 2 hour trip one way.
He was doing pretty well Here's a pic of him in front of me. No extreme lean angle, but it was the second session of our first track day. |
