Our local FD is no longer allowed to do controlled burns. It sucks ass.

Sometimes however, old houses just happen to start on fire when the FD is around and ready.

To top it ALL off - it's a manuafactured home. Which probably just needs to go to the junk yard at this point. Sad. They owe a lot of money on it still.
Just one more thing to disagree with her about. She's slipped into Looneyville in the last 6 months, this is just one more thing she's gone off the deep end about (her husband started gambling compulsively, stole and pawned our gun collection, they're filing bankruptcy and she thinks she can retire this year and sell their house....I've got news for her...)
For as much as I hate drama - I could write a book sometimes...

I do not put up with BS. I would cut my own Mom out of my life if she was Mother Teresa herself for that kind of drama.

Manufactured homes typically don't have shit for resale and it sounds like this one might be worth less than most. I think your mother in law is going to be in for a rude awakening when she does talk to a realtor.

Ya, it used to be pretty common for people to smoke in their home, I know. But damn, nowadays, most people who do it live in shitholes. Why the fuck would you ruin a good home with cigarette smoke? And again, im a smoker!
