Not disgusting as you think. I don't bite them when there's stuff on them. Plus I've never get sick so that could mean something.

I keep mine really short and they grow really fast too. I just hate it when things get stuck under them, it gives me the heebie jeebies so as soon as they grow, I cut them all down.
I'll paint them once in a blue moon but they grow too fast and I am too lazy to redo them every week. |
