I would run pilot road 2's in your case. I think they will be fine on the track and should hold up better commuting. At least try em once and see how many commuting miles you can get out of them.

I've heard of several people running the strada's and doing track days... granted they're not going to do as well as the Powers or Oorsa III's but what are you going to do more of? track riding or commuting?

You my friend are a perfect candidate for trying the Dunlop 616s. I tried them on my bike and didn't like them. They were too "tall" or something but I bet they would be the shit on your bike!

i've read on too many forums that the Dunlops have a short life span....i don't want to be looking at replacing tires every 4 months...

Gee,I wish I could make it four months on a set of tires! Someone else aid that they get 14,000 miles on a rear tire! I get approx. 10,000 on a front and 5000 on a rear.

As far as the Dunlop 616s go,I guess that makes sense as they're Dunlops rain race tire with a slightly harder compound. They were super sticky but they "fell" into corners alittle too hard for my tastes.

Nah,I've been lazy and I've been tearing up my patched 190 before I take it off and throw it away. It's only got about 1000 miles on it. I'll probably go to bike night Wed and burn it up and put the new tire on Thurs/Fri. I'll let you all know how it comes out but I think it'll be similar to the handling I have now. Besides with the mods and adjustments I have now,the thing turns in super easy,so a "slight" loss of turn in won't hurt me. I HOPE!

My damn PP's are starting to slip now. They had fantastic traction for the first 4K miles and now they are slipping on almost any aggressive turn.. There is still some tread left too.
