I hope you have a good night considering your staff. I found out I have a meeting to attend in the morning.....in the middle of my sleep schedule. I'm now trying to get shit together at the last minute for it. Grrrr......

that sucks. They do all sorts of inservices here around 8am expecting the night shift to stay, the nurses do becasue their shifts end around 8, but I am done at 7 and unless I am getting paid I am not sticking around.

Things look ok so far. have one pt to work up and I had ot call a consult, the gyn guys werre surprisingly cooperative, its usualy a battle with them so I was happy with that.

There are 2 waiting ot be seen both are young people ones a sore throat and the other is belly pain. To make stuff slower, one nurse went on break so things will back up[ a bit. The one whos on break is first off slow, and secondly a very nasty person. She gets into it with at least 2 patients a shift and I am surprised no one has hit her yet. I am sure when this happens I wont see anything

Now after 2 am I will have a crappy attending too, my director is working the main tonight so at least with him here they will pretend ot be working.

its a new resident aka fresh meat for me to kick around. he seems kinda nice so far, we will see how long this lasts for.
