Can't last forever, although Sat is a 40% and Sun is a 60%. Only concern is the damage done to bridges and highways from debris and run off. We may just cruise around dodging potholes and watching road crews all weekend long...We can always hole up in Eureka and drink, LOL

Man... with the weather, tornadoes, and damage to everything south of the mason dixon...
I will admit... I'm considering canceling this trip for a NE, maine lobster trip instead. I have already plotted the new trip and planned the stops. Will hit 10 states (7 new) and Canada, around 2,000 miles. I'm waiting to talk to caveman about it but I'm about 80% sure of my change. Smiley I appreciate the help but the rally was already looking low on participation and the weather complications make it worse. It's not about rain, it's about roads, bridges, levees, and tornadoes. Will get it hammered down one way or the other this weekend. |

I understand all the implications caused by this incredible and once in a life time storm situation. I couldnt have imagined the death and destruction when this all started. Those traveling the furthest would have some serious challenges to a rally right now, from Kansas and Oklahoma all the way across Kentucky and Tennesee, Arkansas and Mossouri.
Ya'll do what's best for you, There is always time to cancel within the 24 or 48 hours. This has not turned out to be the rally we all envisioned, just a gathering of friends, and friends can gather anytime anywhere, no need for a special time or venue...

Really? I talked to my dad and he says its a go even if no one shows up. Its a trip for us so we can always detour.
Not sure exactly when we will reach Eureka Springs. I know we're staying in Oklahoma Thursday night and then heading that way friday. |
