Caffeine isnt just a stimulant, its also a diurhetic. Thats why bodybuilders love it. Keeps them awake, and helps stop the cramps

i always thought it was because coffee irrates your stomach or intestines.

I drink tea all day long and it has no effect on me but coffee in the morning is totally different

Yeah, I don't drink a lot of coffee. When I was in Bahrain we went about four months with nothing but MRE's, I was eating around five a day. I went about three days with no joy, so I got a paperback, went into the harvest falcon facilities, lit a cigarette and downed maybe half a thermos of coffee. My body needed the relief but it wasn't enjoyable at all. I respect women now, because giving birth has to be miserable. Not only do I watch my caffiene intake now, I'm also careful with cheese.
