 obviously.Here's how I look at it. I'm learning it to help my husband. I already know enough French to get out of an elevator and order lunch. It is convenient that the word for shoes is pretty universal. Though that doesn't help him much. He's surrounded and the one learning the hard way. The majority of his staff are Brazilian. He has translators, but it's clearly more fun for him to know what they are saying when they think he doesn't know...
