I keep seeing that pic on the web but never any aftermath / story / etc. Anyone know any more?

And you won't, dyno drums are heavy as fuck. No ones gonna try dumping a clutch on one unless they want drivetrain soup

Ive seen someone put a wrx on afwd dyno at the nj dmv inspection station. Dude got to watch his car plow into another car pretty hard

Yes its fake but that car isn't going anyway strapped down.

That little 4cyl. doesn't have the torque to break those straps unless they are velcro'd around the wheel. lol

he's saying that when people throw a vehicle on a dyno that they're easing into the powerband, not dumping the clutch. ie, there wouldn't be any real damage done anywho.
