"54's" is a term for the Black community down here. It comes from the Crayola Crayon 64 and 128 box where the black crayon is (or was once) #54.

Since the Black community members are the biggest smokers of menthol's and the fact that this new product is a "54 blend", it seems that the folks at Marlboro are target marketing.
