I was hearing some talk on other forums that this was a marketing stunt by the bike shop to get their name out.

Nope.

Not that I blindly believe people. But, these guys have a policy to send parts FIRST to their customers then their customers send a check after they have confirmed they are what they were looking for. It's pretty unfounded in today's world. They told me the video was a surprise to them as well...

I'm glad the video was done. I've been looking for a tool to take one of these *(@^%@! nuts off... They have been VERY helpful.
