In reality I'll probably do 2 track days a year tops so towing really isn't a priority for me. Just something it needs to do every once in awhile. Kinda like the wife and laundry. BTW. The BMW I'm looking at is not a truck/suv. It's a 4 door sedan. Last edited by SteveP; 11-23-2008 at 12:13 AM.. |

530 has an inline 6 and will be pretty torquey and prolly better on fuel econoy and at towing overall. The 540 has either a 4.0 or 4.4 Litre V8....great for overall power but SUCKS when it comes to MPG.

I'll definitely be looking at both the 530/40. Gas mileage is a factor, but not the deciding one. I commute mainly with my SV, so the car is used much less.

Get the 540. The 5-series is heavy as hell and that V-8 will come in handy. Fuck the gas mileage.

Haunamu bay is cool, visiting the north shore for lunch is nice. Kailua beach is world renowned, as is Lani Kai ( a stones throw away ). If you're into military history the Arizona Memorial, Punchbowl Pacific National Cemetery, and the Battleship Missouri are a must see. Let me know what you have in mind and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction. If you want to go ride let me know, I'll show ya around. Last edited by SteveP; 11-23-2008 at 03:04 AM.. |
