I had some seat time on a TZ 250 Tigger and I don't think I can make a 370 lb bike handle like a 286 or whatever bike does...90 lbs is an incredible difference in braking and turning. I think even the AMA superbikes weigh more than 370 lbs. And then their is the difference in engine/crankshaft mass...Just no way to replicate it on a budget.

On the other hand your right, 4 strokes are so much better with maintenance there isn't a comparison at all. They are pretty great.

So on an ulimited budget, sure we build a bare bones titanium framed GSXR1000 with ultra light forks and wheels. Everything lightened. Or we spend the same amount and buy this 500...

Oh for sure! I don't think we can get a 600 down to 286 lbs but it would be fun to try!!! I know you are right,I was thinking in terms of power to weight. Corner speed is another story but again the new 800s are "too fast in the corners" according to Dorna. I was thinking about your budget and what is somewhat possible.

Note: let's use carbon fiber for the frame on our imaginary GSXR! besides I think Ti is too stiff...

Good one! Hey we could always get pocket rockets and race in parking lots! Better yet, since I'm so scared, let's get remote control bikes and race those! Hey wait do you have X-Box 360?......

I wish I had an Xbox...I still have the original Playstation. and not the PS2 either. I do have 2 WSBK games and a dirt bike/streetbike simulation for it though. And get this, I have a SEGA Genesis with Kawaski Superbikes racing...Talk about low tech! But I still play them.
