He's not really getting 101mpg. Because he has larger(taller) tires his numbers are exaggerated by about 10%. Still great mileage but not as good as he is calculating.

Hmm good point, but if he bought a vehicle that gets almost 100 mpg in the first place... see what I mean? Hell, I don't know why people like this don't just take public transportation/ride a bike.

I gotcha. My point was, why would he bother buying a different vehicle if he already has one that has as good or better gas mileage than a scooter?

That's as logical as buying a brand new motorcycle to commute on to save money on gas. It is going to take a long ass time for the money you spent on the bike to be compensated for on saved gas $$.

How about, he should have bought a scooter in the first place? Man, he'd be getting 200mpg right now! Kinda like the Chevy Volt!!!

Wouldn't taller tires mean he is actually getting BETTER mileage than he is calculating?

My scooter gets 82MPH going WFO. I keep that fucking throttle pinned all the way until I have to brake.

You fail to mention that your scooter, at WFO, is only doing 18mph.
