my dad tore his ring finger off at work once. he jumped off the side of a trailer (he was a diesel mechanic) and hooked his wedding band on the side. broke the bone and completely degloved it. he looked up and saw his finger dangling from the trailer by his ring. it had to be amputated all the way below the first knuckle. couldn't wear a wedding band (not enough of a stub left), that kinda upset my mom a bit.

needless to say, they implemented a 'no jewelry at work' rule shortly thereafter.

I read it. DOesn't mean when we're out and about and your not working/ guard, that you can't wear one...... Let's get some feed back people...... Who's right on this. I think if he's working on the bike, or at a job where that is a risk fine don't wear it. Take it off and put it somewhere safe at home. But when we go to family functions or out and about there's NO reason you can't wear one.

oooo, and cutty it''s spelt comonboys......... no two m's...
There the woman has spoken...

ooooo, and another..... That would require us to get married to wear rings..... And according to you, that's not happening for a long time, so why even worry....

Also I hate needles so no tatoo for me....

Yea I lost my middle finger on my left hand. Well,it was crushed and amputated but the Doc took what was left of the 2nd knuckle and repaired my ring finger 1st knuckle and fused the bones and reattached with wire pins and screws. Oh and before anyone can call bullshit on me HERE"S PICS!
BTW yes I know my nails need to be cut and my hands are dirty! I'm actually doing that now. I almost took a shower and cut them to retake the pics but I don't care enough.

Is that from the accident when you were hit from behind at a red light? I remember seeing the nasty scar on your arm but I never noticed the hand.

Nah,this is from a long time ago. I was scooting around turn 10 or 11 at Grattan, you know the blind slightly off camber long sweeper towards the end of the circuit? Some cretin was doing oh about 35 mph in the racing line and this is what happens when your hand gets caught in the chain and sprocket and you're wearing cheap gloves. (psst Teknics) This hand was broken again by my wonderful A* GP Plus gloves and their non-floating one piece knuckle design. My hand was mashed flat against the car and all of my knuckles were broken by the knuckle guard. Considering how hard it is for me to clutch,I should take clutchless shifting more seriously!

On the other hand(har, har),the arm scar was a lesson about deer, Joe Rocket, and flying down Leonard at dusk! Heck,I don't think you ever saw the knee! Oooo that's ugly! T-boned by a Civic and my leg was smashed into the motor of my Seca 750.
