The '09 R6S, and the other S years have always had conventional forks, they're still non-inverted.

And another thing is that it comes with a 120/60 front, not a 120/70 like all the other bikes out now. It literally is the same exact bike as the '04 but with different paint schemes every new year it comes out. Literally, down to the weight and everything.

I saw one recently that had done a swap. Fucked with my head a little bit.

sure you didn't see an 05? they had inverted forks stock.
