You know...I too kinda cringe (a little) when I see NY plates.
But not as much as NJ plates and certainly not as much as Florida plates |

Around here, NY, NJ or Ontario plates are 99% sure to be old farts, 10 years past their expiration date who can't see, hear or care to follow any traffic rules/laws. The other 1% is the Jersey kids down here for college. They are too busy listening to Jay-Z in the parental-financed Escalade/QX56 and applying their lip gloss and make-up on their way to the Jersey Shore auditions. The chicks are even worse...

Florida drivers on NY roads tend to adopt all the bad habits of NY drivers and magnify them.
Add on top of that the apparant ignorance of what yeild signs mean and the desire to park their ass in the passing lane and drive under the speed limit. To make matter worse, a lot of them are the assholes through out of the state back in the 80's and 90's. |

Florida drivers = Fail. I'd seriously donate money to adding a "Florida" lane that went through the states and into florida. They can be 4' wider on each side, have rubber padding on the gaurd railes, speed limit of 30mph and we'll cut it in a straight line, similar to the distance/drive maps you see on maps.
I see a ton of NY, Florida, Illinois, and Conneticut tags in Atlanta (More Cali in the suburbs). Out of state plates make up at least 1/3 of my apartment complex and probably 3/4 have out of state collegic stickers on the back of their car (or Emory which is basically out of state). I'm convinced that the reputable "shitty" Atlanta drivers are from the North (and Florida). My favorite drivers are North Carolina drivers. I don't know what it is, but driving in North Carolina very nice.
